We are Grade 11 students at VIS, Vientiane International School. Every year, each grade goes on a five-day school trip to rural and urban areas around Laos. This trip is abbreviated as SALSA. Our SALSA trips mainly consist of scheduled activities and events for us to participate in to engage with the local community and to explore their culture. Also, many of the activities have an aspect of supporting the local infrastructure in ways such as funding construction or donating equipment for schools. This year, we are travelling to the area known as Don Daeng. In this area, we will be using the funds donated by you to help

with greatly expanding local primary schools. The students will assist in building a more comfortable and happy learning environment for the children. These schools are receiving little help and the site is in great need for reworking. The roofs and walls are made from metal sheeting, and the ground is little more than earth. We hope to help them by applying the recieved donations and building not only a better school, but a better future for the students of these schools. We are Grade 11, and we are aiming for $15,000 to change the future.
